The Golden Lions won their 14th consecutive playoff games and 24th consecutive win vs. 2A teams. The Golden Lions advance to the 2A State Championship game next Saturday at NC State University vs Kinston. The Lions defeated the Lincolnton Wolves 37-21. Shelby won the Western Regional Championship for the 3rd consecutive year. The Lions were led by Xavier Brooks who had 26 rushing attempts for 279 yards( 2nd highest rushing yards in a single game in school history) and 2 TD’s and 2 receptions for 31 yards and 1 TD. Antwan Wright had 6 receptions for 107 yards and 1 TD. Jayden Borders had 8 receptions for 123 yards.
