The Golden Lions defeat the North Lincoln Knights 35-7 to extend their season winning streak to 10 consecutive games. The Golden Lions advance to the Western Regional Finals for the 6th consecutive year, 8th in the past 9 years, 13th out of the past 16 years, and 15th out of the past 22 years all in the 2A classification. The Golden had a streak of 6 Regional Finals in 10 years (1986-95) while in the 3A classification. The Golden Lions will travel to face the defending state champions Hibriten Panthers who currently have a 30 game winning streak. The two teams also met in the 2017 2AA Western Regional Finals.
The Golden Lions offense had a very productive night, gaining 451 yards of total offense (184 rushing/267 passing) and 19 1st downs. Isaiah Bess was 17/36 passing for 256 yards and 2 TD. Diovanni Daley had 6 receptions for 111 yards and 2 TD’s. Donye Fuller has 21 rushing attempts for 112 yards and 3 TD’s. Caden Sheeley converted all 5 extra point attempts.
